– precipice

Sometimes I feel like I fell off a precipice some way back and never quite made my way back . I know the above is a field and doesn’t look a thing like a precipice. But you know, it’s got crows, the Crows! Flying high above harvested rice fields, peppering the rain-laden clouds…Wandering in the barren desert and all that. Except, of course, it was raining, and the crows were hunting for worms, and when spring comes again, the rice will be planted out, global warming and such willing, and all will be green again.

Even so.

I have been checking out the Niigata Land and Water Art Festival and really enjoyed the exhibition from Tatsuji Ushijima in an old abandoned rice storage warehouse, just a few train stops down from mine.

I tried to upload a video I took of all the whirring gizmos, but no luck. I’ll try again later, maybe.

My cards arrived today, too, so I’m very grateful to my sister and Moammar for helping me out.
